Abstract:Africa's aging population and the need for continuous skill acquisition in a rapidly changing job market highlight the importance of empowering seniors and life-long learners through innovative learning approaches. This study investigated the potential of e-learning and digital skills development in enhancing the quality of life, employability, and useful engagement of seniors and life-long learners in Africa. A qualitative-method approach was adopted, involving an in-depth interview with seniors and life-long learners engaged in e-learning programs in 4 African countries (Nigeria, Kenya, Botswana and Zimbabwe). Twelve seniors in each country were targeted, of which 42 responded across Nigeria, Kenya, and Zimbabwe.
