Dear Esteemed OWSD Ibadan colleagues,
It is indeed a great honor to be the face of Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD) Ibadan Branch as Coordinator for the 2022-2024 and 2024-2026 years. Our membership has increased from 48 in 2014 to over 400 in 2024 due to the commendable efforts of Past Coordinators - Professors Stella Odebode and Funmi Ajani that has kept OWSD Ibadan on the move! Together with the efforts of our executive members and various committees, we continue to record an encouraging increase in membership with over 50 members in the last month alone.
We want to acknowledge the support of members as we navigate through the coming years and it is my fervent hope that you and your families will keep being safe and well. The days ahead can only get better as we continue to forge new paths to make our organization better and by reaching out to members individually and collectively in the pursuit of developing our research sustainability society and help lift one another up through collaboration and fusion of research concepts and ideas that are geared towards societal improvements on the national and global platform to ensure better research funding and output. Our resilience in the face of dwindling resources and current happenings is commendable and OWSD Ibadan is with you all through this. We look forward to an exciting time in OWSD Ibadan and hope to continue the impressive legacies of preceding councils.
